Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a telegram of congratulations to his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayip Erdogan on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the Turkish Republic, the Kremlin press service said.
In the telegram Putin said the foundations of the "friendly, good-neighborly relations" between Russia and Turkey were established in the very first day of the existence of the Turkish Republic.
The Russian leader also said he expects further progress in the bilateral relations.
