According to the Kremlin press service, the Russian leader Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with the acting Iranian President Mohammad Mokhber.
The conversation took place at the initiative of the Iranian side. The Presidents expressed interest in the further development of bilateral relations in various fields.
They also talked about interaction on the world stage, including in connection with Russia's chairmanship in BRICS.
The acting President of Iran congratulated Putin on the Day of Russia. The Russian leader, in turn, congratulated Mokhber and the Iranian people on the Eid al-Adha holiday.
