Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the republic’s Independence Day.
In his message of greetings, Putin wrote about Uzbekistan’s social and economic achievements, its well-earned respect on the international stage and its constructive contribution to settling vital international issues.
The President also highly assessed the consistent development of strategic partnership and allied relations between Russia and Uzbekistan. Putin also reaffirmed Russia’s readiness to continue to work jointly with Uzbekistan to strengthen bilateral ties and to promote stability and security in Central Asia in the interests of Russia and Uzbekistan.
