Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated Timur Safin, Alexei Cheremisinov and Arthur Ahmathuzin after they won Olympic gold in fencing.
"They demonstrated skill, cohesion, team spirit. They turned the tide in decisive matches, defeated strong, worthy rivals," he said.
