Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a telegram to his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Zhomart Tokaev congratulating him on Independence Day of the republic.
Putin noted the high prestige of Kazakhstan in the international arena, the press service of Tokayev reported.
"The successes your country has achieved in the socio-economic, scientific, technical and many other fields are well known. Kazakhstan rightfully enjoys high credibility on the world stage, plays a constructive role in resolving key issues of the regional and international agenda," the presidential telegram reads.
