Putin describes conditions for lowering key rate

Russian President Vladimir Putin said under what conditions the country’s central bank may lower its key rate.

According to him, it will be possible once the Russians get used to the new level of macroeconomic stability.

“We have managed to lower inflation to a historic minimum of 2.5%. People need to get used to the fact that the situation is stable. Then the bank will start lowering its rate,” TASS cited the president as saying.
