Putin doesn't understand actions of US in Syria

Today at a meeting with members of the government, Russian President Vladimir Putin admitted that he cannot understand what the United States is guided by when it chooses targets for air strikes on Syrian territory. 

"On Sunday the US Air Force bombed a power station and a transformer in Aleppo. Why have they done that? Who did they punish by that? What's the purpose? Nobody understands,’’ Tass cites him as saying.
