Putin: economics needs planned elements

Russian President Vladimir Putin called on macroeconomic parameters to be followed, not to waste the reserves and to maintain current inflation.

"However, it is impossible to re-create a system of centralized planning agencies similar to the Soviet-era State Committee for Planning, but nonetheless some elements of economic planning are needed," TASS cited him as saying.
