Vladimir Putin has approved the request to give Russian citizenship to the head coach of the Russian national judo team, Ezio Gamba.
The Kremlin press service confirmed the fact that Russian citizenship was given in accordance with paragraph 'A' of Article 89 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation.
Gamba has been training the Russian team since 2008.
Vestnik Kavkaza reported earlier that the Russian leader participated in a joint judo training session together with the national team.
