 Putin holds meeting with Russia's Security Council

Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with permanent members of the country's Security Council.

Participants discussed matters raised during the President’s recent international contacts, as well as the agenda of his upcoming meetings. They also touched upon the agreements reached by the leaders of the Normandy Format countries following the telephone conversation on August 22.

"Besides international topics, current domestic policy issues were considered," the Kremlin's press service said.

The meeting was attended by Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Anton Vaino, Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Director of the Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov and Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Sergei Naryshkin.
