Russian President Vladimir Putin and Nikol Pashinyan held a telephone conversation discussing a number of issues, a statement from the Armenian premier’s press office stated.
"They both expressed readiness to continue with efforts aimed at development of the strategic and allied relations between Armenia and Russia as well as to promote further integrational processes," the statement said.
"Both sides stated that they will be provided with an opportunity to discuss all of the above issues during the session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Sochi slated for March 14," the statement added.
Earlier on May 8, the Armenian parliament endorsed Pashinyan as the head of government.
