Putin notes interest of foreign investors in North-South project

At SPIEF, Vladimir Putin spoke about the importance of developing the logistics and transport infrastructure of Russia and Azerbaijan. He also noted investors’ interest in the North-South corridor.

At the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Vladimir Putin spoke about the need to develop logistics and transport infrastructure for the evolution of relations between Moscow and Baku.

He noted that this applies not only to the North-South transport corridor, but also to logistics centers on the Dagestan section of the border between the two countries.

Putin also spoke about the interest of foreign investors in investing in the North-South corridor. The President promised that the project would be very profitable.

According to the head of state, both regional countries and Arab sovereign funds showed interest in the project. He added that such funds are always looking for safe investments.
