Vladimir Putin was given the protocol on the import of the circulation of goods in the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Community (EAEC) for ratification. The need for its signature appeared after Kazakhstan joined the WTO, so that the market of the EAEC can get products that have a lower customs duty in Kazakhstan.
"The Protocol establishes an obligation for Kazakhstan to take measures to prevent the export to other countries - members of the EAEC of products designed for reduced rates of import customs duties, determines the framework for the circulation of goods in respect of which Kazakhstan according to the obligations of the WTO may apply reduced rates of the import customs duties, the mechanism of administration and control over the circulation of such goods, " TASS cites the text of the explanatory note.
