Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on New Year and expressed the hope that relations between the two countries will further develop in the interests of security and stability in the Middle East, the Kremlin press service said on Sunday, TASS reported.
In his message, Putin noted that "the two countries have accumulated a great experience of cooperation in various spheres" and expressed the hope that in 2019 "the Russian-Israeli relations will develop in a constructive and partner spirit for the benefit of the two countries’ peoples, in the interests of peace, security and stability in the Middle East.".
