Today President of Russia Vladimir Putin signed a decree according to which sanctions due to Tehran's nuclear program are removed from Iran. However, the decree provides new restrictions that were stipulated in the resolution of the UN Security Council to resolve the Iranian nuclear program.
The ability to supply "items mentioned in the list of nuclear materials, including equipment, special non-nuclear materials and related technologies subject to export control" to Iran without a UN Security Council resolution was among other restrictive measures for Russian organizations up to October 18th 2025.
In addition, the President's decree contains a list of individuals and entities prohibited from entering into financial operations in Russia because of their involvement in Iran's nuclear program according to the UN Security Council, Tass reports.
