Russian President Vladimir Putin will travel to India from September 11 to 13 to attend the BRICS summit and hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Putin and Modi are also expected to visit the "Innoprom India" industrial exhibition, held alongside the summit.
Putin's most recent trip abroad was to Kyrgyzstan in late August and early September for the SCO heads of state summit.
