Chinese President Xi Jinping said during a meeting with the head of the presidential administration Sergei Ivanov that the Russian President Vladimir Putin will pay a visit to Beijing in June to discuss bilateral relations and the international agenda.
"Over the years we have established close contacts with President Putin. And this year a number of our meetings is also planned," TASS cited him as saying.
He said that the meeting will help deepen mutual understanding between countries.
Xi Jinping also asked Ivanov to convey best wishes to Putin. He praised the contacts which Ivanov has established with the leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
