Putin’s school teacher of German dies in Israel

Russian President Vladimir Putin’s secondary school teacher of German, Mina Yuditskaya, died in Israel at the age of 96, a spokesman for the Russian embassy in the country said.

"Mina Yuditskaya was buried on December 7 in the city of Petah Tikva. The embassy helped organize the burial ceremony and commissioned its representative to it," TASS cited the spokesperson as saying.

Mina Yuditskaya, who taught German at Leningrad’s (now St. Petersburg) secondary school 281 in the 1960s, immigrated to Israel in 1973. Putin met with his teacher in 2005, when he visited Israel. Ever since, he has been in touch with her, sending her presents.
