The line of trucks awaiting departure from Russia into Georgia has surpassed 2,000 vehicles, reported Irbek Tomayev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania.
"There are 2,456 heavy-duty trucks waiting to pass through the Upper Lars checkpoint",
Irbek Tomayev reported.
At the time of reporting, the electronic queue for the multi-lane Upper Lars vehicle crossing listed 2,177 trucks.
Traffic volume over the past week amounted to approximately 17,000 vehicles and over 35,000 individuals, including both inbound and outbound movement in both directions.
