ROC creates commission for identification of Nicholas II family's remains

Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill has ordered the creation of a special commission, which will be tasked with studying the results of the re-examination of the remains of the children of the last Russian Emperor Nicholas II, Tsarevich Alexei and Duchess Maria, executed together with him in 1918.

"The Russian Orthodox Church has created a special commission to study the results of this research. The commission, formed by the order of His Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill, includes bishops, priests and scientists," TASS cited the message of the Synodal Information Department.

The administrator of the Moscow Patriarchy, Metropolitan of St. Petersburg and Ladoga Varsonofy, will head this commission.
