Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has ordered the Roads and Urban Development Ministry to accelerate the construction of a project extending the rail line from the southwest of Iran to Iraqi city of Basra.
The railway will simplify the journeys made by Iranian pilgrims to Iraqi holy sites, Trend cited the Mehr News agency as saying.
