A political campaign for the restoration of diplomatic relations between Georgia and Russia has taken place today in Tbilisi near the President’s residence.
The event was organized by the non-governmental association Community of Irakli II . Participants of the rally erected a stage for performances, and urged President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili to pay a visit to Moscow in order to resume Georgian-Russian relations. Refusal to participate in military blocs, as well as prohibition of foreign military bases on Georgian territory were among the demands of the activists of the event, RIA Novosti reports.
