Rally in support of Sasna Tsrer armed group, which has seized Erebuni police station, has kicked off in Yerevan’s Liberty Square.
Large number of people has gathered in the square, Armenian News -NEWS.am correspondent reports. The speaker of the rally is member of Anti-crisis Initiative Council member Albert Baghdasaryan.
In his words, even the people who were frightened after yesterday’s events have joined the pan-Armenian movement.
The police used violent force against the protestors gathered in Sari Tagh district and Khorenatsi street on Friday. 165 people were detained, 73 people being hospitalized. Moreover, a dozen of journalists have suffered as a result of the actions by the police. The plainclothes men broke down and seized the camera of Armenian News
