Head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov asked readers of his Telegram channel to meet this New Year somewhere in Russia, listing a number of regions.
"Celebrate this New Year in your country, where there are so many beautiful places - North Caucasus, Baikal, Karelia, Altai, Sochi and many others," he wrote.
Ramzan Kadyrov also warned Russians against visiting Europe, explaining that during this turbulent time, the threat of terrorism is too high in European countries, while Russia is at the forefront of the fight against terrorism.
