Referendum on constitutional changes to be held in Kyrgyzstan on December 11

The Parliamentary Committee for Constitutional Law has approved the bill on holding the referendum to amend the Kyrgyz Constitution, which will be held on December 11, the press service of the country's Parliament said.

Constitutional changes will strengthen the country's Prime Minister's powers and allow to combine parliamentary activities with the office of prime minister or deputy prime minister.

Following the Parliamentary Committee's approval the law has to be signed by the president and will enter into force from the time of its publication.
