Reigning World Cup champion Germany failed to reach the knockout stage of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, held in Russia. In the final match of the group stage, South Korea defeated Germany with 2-0 win, TASS reports.
Kim Young-gwon scored the first goal in the third minute of added time. Son Heung-min made it 2-0 in the sixth minute of added time.
The German team placed fourth in Group F with three points. South Korea also earned three points, but placed third due to the goal differential.
