An ancient settlement has been discovered in the Abinsk district of Krasnodar Territory. It was found by workers of Chernomortransneft, who were planning to repair a section of the main oil pipeline.
In total, 20 archaeological objects were found. Among them are the remains of residential buildings and household goods, including fragments of ancient amphorae, tableware, molded pots and bowls, experts attributed them to the IV and I centuries BC. The discovery of a burial site was attributed to the most early period, stucco bowls, a gray-clay jug and fragments of bronze ornaments are preserved in it, the portal YUGA reports, citing the press service of the company.
The object has received the status of archaeological heritage 'Settlement Korobkin-9'.
