Repeated municipal elections will be held in 7 districts of Istanbul. The decision was made by the Supreme Electoral Council of Turkey (YSK) after the Turkish ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) protested the election results in Istanbul, Turkish media reported.
Yesterday. the AKP protested the results of municipal elections in all 39 districts of Istanbul.
The party's Istanbul provincial head Bayram Şenocak said the AKP has evidence of the election results in Istanbul being falsified in favor of candidate of the opposition Republican People's Party Ekrem Imamoglu.
