A resident of Ingushetia was sentenced to five years in a penal colony for recruiting fellow-countrymen to ISIS (a terrorist group banned in Russia).
The investigators found out that from 2015 to 2016 he sent his friend videos containing extremist information.
"The young man, influenced by these conversations and videos, decided to go to Syria and join militants," the Ingushetia investigative department reported, adding that the police noticed him in time and managed to dissuade him.
