Sochi residents and tourists were recommended to refrain from hiking in the mountains, and skiers are advised to only ski on open slopes.
According to the press service of the City Hall, on January 9-11 at heights of above 1000m there is serious danger of avalanches, at heights of 500 meters there is weak avalanche danger.
"Rescuers are asking to refrain from hiking in the mountains during this period. The residents and guests of the resort are asked to remain vigilant and cautious. In case of accidents, call 010 from your mobile," YUGA cited the press service.
