According to a message on the website of the Chinese Embassy in Tbilisi, China has lifted visa restrictions for Georgian citizens traveling to the country. An intergovernmental agreement comes into force on May 28.
"Citizens of Georgia who hold valid ordinary passports of Georgia, from May 28, 2024, from 00:00 Beijing time, are exempt from the obligation to obtain a visa to enter, exit or transit through the territory of the People's Republic of China",
the Chinese Embassy in Georgia said.
However, Georgian citizens will not be able to stay in China for a long time. Their period of stay in China should not exceed 30 days. It means that they will be able to stay in the country for no more than 90 days during six months, leaving the country every month for the same term.
