An event marking the 72nd anniversary of the deportation of the Karachay people to Central Asia has taken place in Karachay-Cherkessia. Mourning events started in the city of Karachayevsk at the memorial to victims of the deportation of the Karachay people.
Participants of the meeting noted that the peoples of the republic should not forget those tragic pages of their history. At the same time, they emphasized that the support of fraternal peoples has always been an important part of life for all the peoples of the Caucasus.
