More than 300 residents of Poti have participated in a protest rally today. They expressed their dissatisfaction with an unpleasant smell, which spreads over the whole of the seaside town during the fishing season when factories process fish.
According to the meeting's participants, there are four such enterprises in the city, but none of them uses the necessary filters. "The heads of the enterprises don’t buy filters because they are expensive, and it is easier for them to pay low fines,’’ Interfax cites them as saying.
