The results of the 14th Republican Olympiad in Russian summed up in Azerbaijan, the press service of the Russian House in Baku informs.
The solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the Olympiad in Russian, dedicated to the Year of Shusha, was held yesterday at the Azerbaijan University of Languages.
Irek Zinnurov, Head of the Russian House in Baku, Igor Yeronin, Counselor of the Russian Embassy in Azerbaijan, Ilgar Dadashev, Head of the International Relations Sector of the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan, Novruz Mammadov, Vice-Rector for Science of the Azerbaijan University of Languages, Member of the Board of VTB Bank (Azerbaijan) Evgeny Borodin, delivered a welcoming speech and awarded the winners.
3,500 people from 312 schools with the Russian language participated in the Olympiad. 31 pupil from nine cities of Azerbaijan became the winners.
