A military base housing U.S. troops in western Iraq was attacked with rockets on Tuesday, the Iraqi Defense Ministry said.
In a statement, the ministry said two Katyusha rockets landed on the Ain Al-Asad air base in Anbar province, adding the attack “did not cause any significant losses.”
The attack came amid a visit to Iraq by a high-level US delegation, led by White House Coordinator for the Middle East and North Africa Brett McGurk, to discuss a military withdrawal from the country.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, Anadolu Agency reported.
