Iran is capable of carrying out work, if a political decision to resume comprehensive industrial cooperation with Russia will be taken, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said following his two-day visit to Iran.
"Now I am fully convinced that there are all the required resources so that the Iranians can carry out the work within their territory, if a political decision to resume comprehensive industrial collaboration with Russia, in particular in the aviation sector, will be made," the TV channel Russia 24 cited him as saying.
He also said that Russia will be ready to go over the localization of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 production in Iran, if Tehran decides to buy ready-made planes.
"At some point, using a particular specimen of the delivered aircraft, we will go over to the localization of production on Iran’s territory," TASS cited Rogozin as saying.
