Roscosmos head Dmitry Bakanov and NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman held a meeting at the Baikonur Cosmodrome, the Russian state corporation's press service announced.
Isaacman will attend the launch of the Soyuz MS-29 spacecraft. Another meeting with Bakanov is also expected.
The visit marks the first time a NASA administrator has visited Baikonur in eight years.
The Soyuz-2.1a rocket carrying the Soyuz MS-29 spacecraft is scheduled to launch on July 14.
