The safety of Russian cosmonaut Nikolai Chub's stay on the ISS during a flight planned for 2023 is called into question due to the US refusal to issue him a visa, Roscosmos announced on Saturday.
"The current situation calls into question the very safety of the Russian cosmonaut's stay on the ISS and the safety of the American segment of the station due to the unpreparedness of the Russian cosmonaut in the event of an emergency," the message reads.
Cosmonaut Nikolai Chub was supposed to participate in the US training session on the emergency situations in the American ISS segment.
