The chairman of Rosneft Management Board, Igor Sechin, and the head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, signed a cooperation agreement at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
"The parties agreed to provide shared financing of activities aimed at enhancing the level of efficient associated petroleum gas use and take necessary actions for the replacement of the hydrocarbon mineral resource base in line with the existing license agreements," TASS cited Rosneft's message as saying.
Rosneft also signed a supplementary agreement with the Chechen Republic providing for financial assistance to the republic in order to construct and reconstruct the hydrotechnical and anti-flood facilities in the territory of republic, as well as the infrastructure facilities designed to ensure environmental and sanitary security.
The agreements will promote comprehensive development of Chechen Republic as well as creation of favorable conditions for Rosneft business operations in the region.
