Rosneft has asked Russia's Federal Anti-monopoly Service for permission to purchase up to 100% of Bashneft, the deputy head of the body, Anatoly Golomolzin, said.
"They have asked us for permission to purchase 100% of Bashneft because that automatically gives them the right to purchase any minority stake," Reuters cited him as saying.
