Employees of the Dagestan department of Rosselkhoznadzor have returned to Azerbaijan a batch of tomatoes weighing more than 33 tons, which were delivered to Russia through the customs checkpoint ‘Yarag-Kazamalar’, due to the incorrectly issued phytosanitary certificates, the press service of the organization reported.
Tomatoes were transported by trucks in two separate batches. The first of them, weighing 16,135 kg, was not allowed into the territory of Russia, because the phytosanitary certificate of the cargo lacked complete information. The information was also unreliable in the certificate of the second batch weighing 17 250 kg, Caucasus Today reports.
