Russia and Turkey agreed on the technical specifications of a contract that would supply Turkey with long-range air defense systems S-400 Triumph, Russian state conglomerate Rostec's Director for International Cooperation and Regional Policy Viktor Kladov said.
According to him, a Turkish delegation visited Rosoboronexport, Russian state intermediary agency for the export and import of military use technologies, to discuss a potential deal, but no contract has been signed yet.
"We, as suppliers, demonstrate the technical and technological readiness to supply this type of equipment, this is the essence of technical negotiations," the Daily Sabah cited Kladov as saying.
The Rostec official also said that some non-technical aspects of a deal are being discussed.
"There are commercial issues, there are monetary and financial issues, there are political issues," Kladov noted.
