Today the Georgian Airways company held the first flight between Rostov-on-Don and Tbilisi in seven years, thus restoring regular flights between the cities, representative of Rostov Airport Olga Ladeyschikova said.
Passengers will be flying on a Bombardier CRJ-200 aircraft with a layout of 50 seats. Flights will be carried out twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays. Passengers will spend 1 hour and 10 minutes in the air.
"We see high tourism potential in the new direction and we hope that it will be demanded by Rostov people wishing to personally assess the famous Caucasian hospitality, to encounter the unique culture and amazing nature of Georgia," the director for development of the aviation business of 'Airports of Regions', Sergey Dotsenko stated.
