Iran will not surrender to U.S. pressure and will not give up on its goals even if it is bombed, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said as tension rises between the Islamic Republic and the United States.
Speaking at a ceremony commemorating the Iran-Iraqi war, Rouhani said Iran will make adversaries regret the economic war they wage against Tehran, and will not be demoralized by military action.
"We need resistance, so our enemies know if they bomb our land, and if our children are martyred, wounded or arrested, we will not give up on our goals for the independence of our country and our pride," IRNA cited the Iranian president as saying.
