Thanks to the agreement between Tehran and the 'Six' international mediators the threat of war, which was hanging over Iran, has receded, President of Iran Hassan Rouhani stated live on Iranian television channel IRINN.
He called the abolition of the UN Security Council resolution directed against Tehran a victory of Iran's diplomatic corps.
According to the new resolution, all countries should provide assistance to Iran in the field of nuclear technology, Trend quoted Rouhani as saying.
As a senior researcher at the Institute of Oriental Studies Vladimir Sazhin said in an interview with a correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza, in 2011-2012 the Middle East was on the brink of a war, in which, of course, Iran would be the main figure. "During the reign of the former president of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the Iranian nuclear issue, let's say, the central problem for the whole world, was not solved in any way. That is, many years of negotiations on this issue were like a dialogue of the deaf with the mute – without any understanding. And, of course, the situation, because it was unresolved, was tense," the expert explained.
