Iranian President Hassan Rouhani will submit the list of his candidates for cabinet posts to the parliament on August 10, the spokesman for the presiding board of the parliament Behrouz Nemati said.
He said that after President Rouhani’s swearing-in ceremony in the parliament it was heard that he would submit the cabinet members to the parliament for a vote of confidence on Tuesday, Tasnim News Agency reported.
The spokesman added that immediately after the introduction of cabinet nominees to the parliament, the lawmakers will begin vetting them and examining their future plans in specialized commissions and factions.
Rouhani was sworn in as Iran’s 12th president in a ceremony at the parliament attended by more than 130 high-ranking officials from 85 countries and international organizations.
