A meeting on the North-South Transport Corridor with the participation of representatives from Azerbaijan, Russia and Iran is being held in Baku.
During this meeting issues on cooperation between three countries within the framework of this corridor, in particular, acceleration of construction of the Rasht-Astara railway will be discussed.
The meeting will also be attended by minister of Road and Urban Development Rostam Ghasemi, who arrived in Azerbaijan today. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak is on a visit to Baku.
Novak said during an event in Baku dedicated to the prospects for the development of the North-South transport corridor that Moscow is ready for the productive trilateral cooperation. "I’m sure that our negotiations will be very productive for all three parties," he said.
