Talks between Russian, Azerbaijani, and Iranian delegations on economic cooperation will take place next month, Farzaneh Sadegh, Iran's Minister of Roads and Urban Development and co-chair of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Azerbaijani-Iranian Economic Cooperation said.
Sadegh made the statement during a meeting with Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev, who is currently visiting Tehran.
Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development also announced the upcoming establishment of a joint working group to address transport and customs issues.
The minister spoke about the Kalala-Aghband bridge and border terminal project, noting that it is expected to be completed before Nowruz, the Iranian New Year celebrated on March 20–21.
During the meeting, Farzaneh Sadegh and Shahin Mustafayev also discussed the development of joint oil blocks, the inclusion of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in the gas swap agreement, gas transit from Russia to Iran via Azerbaijan, and the development of the power grid system between Russia, Azerbaijan, and Iran.
Sadegh expressed hope for increased mutual visits and deeper cooperation between Baku and Tehran, anticipating further progress and regional development.
