Russia, Azerbaijan discuss water resource allocation on transboundary river

Representatives of Russia and Azerbaijan discussed the allocation of water resources on the Samur River. The meeting, dedicated to this issue, took place in a Dagestani village.

This week, the 28th meeting of the joint Russia-Azerbaijan commission on the allocation of water resources on the transboundary Samur River was held in Dagestan, the State Agency for Water Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan informs.

The meeting took place in the village of Yarag-Kazmalyar in the Magaramkentsky District of Dagestan on December 26.

The parties discussed the distribution of water resources of the Samur River between the two countries. Monitoring, joint operation of the Samur Hydroelectric Complex, and other issues were also discussed.
