Russia-NATO talks being held in Baku

The meeting of Russian General Staff Chief General Valery Gerasimov and NATO’s Supreme Allied Commander in Europe General Curtis Scaparrotti is underway in Baku.

Earlier today, a delegation led by NATO’s Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) Scaparrotti and Russian General Staff Chief were welcomed by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry's statement, the parties are expected to discuss issues concerning the military activities of NATO and Russia in the European region, as well as the situation in Syria.
